What happens at the appointment?
The Turf Dude will bring various samples for you to choose from. They can help you with product selection dependent on your project, uses, area and budget. The Turf Dude will provide an estimate for all costs including turf. Once you approve your estimate and make payments according to arrangements your project will begin. A majority of Turf Dudes also offer landscaping services if needed.
What are the basics that will happen during the install?
Installs can vary slightly dependent on your install area and part of the country. A quick rundown would be to dig out 2 to 4 inches of the existing ground then compact the area. The area would then be filled with 2 to 4 inches of decomposed granite, roadbase or lime rock depending on your part of the country. That will also be compacted. During this process weed cloth will be laid if needed. Final step will be to cut and measure the turf and pin it to the surface. The turf is either brushed or raked and infill will be poured and raked in if needed.
